Other side of the coin

Yesterday i watched movie "Ghapla" and after watching it i was wondering how many times we are actually shown or we try to see other side of the coin in case of any incident. The way any incident or scam is presented in the society are sometimes not the right ones. We are shown the facts which are good only for people in power. We see lots of things happening in the world and we are shown reasons which might be distorted in two senses. Either reasons favor some people who do not want themselves to be caught or reasons are not at all correct. Do we ever care to look at those things from another point of view ?

So this movie was based on the stock market scam for which Harshad Mehta is considered to be solely responsible. Before watching the movie, i also believed that he was the only one responsible for the scam. But after watching it i can surely say that he was not a bad person and he did not intend anything bad. In fact his intention was really good for Indian industries. His intention was that Indian industries have lot of growth potential hence Indian stock market should go up from the levels of that time so that foreign investors are attracted to Indian industries and India gets lots of foreign investment which is good for Indian industry health. It is also shown in the movie that he was against those people who wanted to bring market down for their own benefit. He wanted stock market to go up. For that he needed lot of money. He arranged the money and executed his plans. There were lot many people involved with him in this but why was only Harshad Mehta punished for it. I think he realized the boom long time back which we saw until last year. What was his fault in this. His only fault was the way he collected the money to raise the stock market but then why was he the only one who was punished. Had he disclosed other people involved in this, he would not have been considered that bad person in public.

Although i have not done much research on this whether things shown in the movie are correct or not, i can say that it is the media which governs our ideas and we usually do not think beyond what we are told and shown.
